| Giant Cypress (Victoria Par... Posted: 15 Aug 2008 04:49 PM CDT Giant Cypress (Victoria Park and Danforth) from craigslist: I had my Giant Cypress stolen in January from the Victoria Park subway station. When stolen it had an electric hub on the front wheel. The hub may have been removed, in which case one of the handlebar pads will be missing too because that is where the speed controller was. I can't make it over to TPS to see if Igor had my bike, but I'm hoping someone else can. I will pay up to $200 for the recovery of the complete bike. I have a record of the serial number that I will provide to TPS.

| Bike Friday Tikit -- Reward... Posted: 15 Aug 2008 04:47 PM CDT Bike Friday Tikit -- Reward - $250 (High Park) from craigslist: My 12 year old son was just robbed by a man who confronted him one block from our house (Indian Road Cres and Abbott), who told him he'd be hurt if he didn't get off the bike. The bike was a Bike Friday Tikit that we'd bought just two hours before. It's also distinctive: white paint with black markings, unlike most which are black with white markings. http://www.bikefriday.com/tikit Of course I realize that many many bikes are stolen, but relatively few are robberies, and the idea of a 12 year old being threatened to get a bike really is awful - my kid or any other. And so I'm appealing to the cycling community in Toronto to help. If you see a white Bike Friday Tikit going by, the theif was about 6 feet, medium build, medium brown skin, wearing just grey shorts and a sweatshirt over his shoulders, let me know: 647 502 3398. Any suggestions as to where to post greatly appreciated. The theft has been reported to Toronto Police.

| Grey Peugot Road/Mountain H... Posted: 15 Aug 2008 04:45 PM CDT Grey Peugot Road/Mountain Hybrid (King and Spadina) from craigslist: hello toronto i am looking for this bike. it was stolen from me today between 10am & 12pm (along with 2 other's bikes parked outside on king & spadina, infront of DWR - design within reach - furniture shop) it is as described in title, distinguishing features include an uber thick good year back tire, a long presta valve on the back, short presta valve on front, gold adapter on back valve, hole going through the inner and outer rim of back wheel rim (hole is size of nail, near a spoke, clean exit, no cracks). if you find this bike or know who is selling it, please let me know what their asking price is. it's not a very expensive bike, or a pretty bike, but it was mine. we shared very special tender moments on the road together, and rode for very long distances (but had yet to achieve our plan to ride even further) so please, help reunite me with my baby. any info helps (someone must have seen something) (why did i never take pictures of you!? why did you have no serial number!?!?!?!) to everyone else out there, take the time to register your bike with the police (it'll make it easier to claim it's yours, much easier than the process for those of us looking for our unregistered bikes at the police warehouse) or at least photograph yourself with your bike. i'm gonna walk home from work now, and pray that i see my baby somewhere along the way (doubtful) |
