Newswire: SIU Appeals for Witnesses to Collision between Police Vehicle and Cyclist in Mississauga

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is appealing for witnesses to a collision between a Peel Regional Police cruiser and a cyclist. The collision occurred on Friday November 7, 2008 at approximately 12:50 p.m. on Brandon Gate Drive just east of Goreway Drive in the Malton area of Mississauga. The officer driving a marked cruiser was attempting to stop a 24-year-old man on a bicycle for investigation when the collision occurred. The man was treated in hospital for a broken knee.
