Here's a wrap-up of all the newsy posts I've done since last Friday. Enjoy.

    • Councillor Paula Fletcher is inviting you to discuss cycling and pedestrian facilities over 3 bridges in the Lower Don area: The Dundas Bridge over the Don (currently under re-construction), the Unwin Ave. Bridge (also under re-construction) and a "Future West Donlands/Eastern Ave Bridge", which I can only hope is a possible pedestrian and cyclist-only bridge that would replace the old Eastern Avenue bridge over the Don that has been abandoned for years.
    • This is at Strachan and Lakeshore. The blue is intended to highlight a conflict point where drivers merge across the bike lane to make a right turn. It sounds like this is a test area to see how long the colour lasts.
    • I was shooting at the legislature today with my back turned to the road when I heard a yell and a bump. I spun around to see a woman laying on the street after being hit by a taxi. Several people immediately ran into the street to help-some attending to the victim while others blocked off and redirected the traffic. Three bicycle police happened to be stationed at the legislative buildings behind me and arrived within a minute of the accident.
    • An early morning crash Saturday in Peel Region left a woman in hospital fighting for her life. Today, she succumbed to her injuries.
