Ye Olde Eastern Avenue Bridge - photo by DaveTill.com

Councillor Paula Fletcher is inviting you to discuss cycling and pedestrian facilities over 3 bridges in the Lower Don area: The Dundas Bridge over the Don (currently under re-construction), the Unwin Ave. Bridge (also under re-construction) and a "Future West Donlands/Eastern Ave Bridge", which I can only hope is a possible pedestrian and cyclist-only bridge that would replace the old Eastern Avenue bridge over the Don that has been abandoned for years.

Here is the email from Councillor Fletcher's Office:

October 24, 2007

Dear Community Members:

I want to invite you to a community forum on 3 bridges in Ward 30.

1. Dundas Bridge
2. Unwin Bridge
3. Future West Donlands/Eastern Ave Bridge

At this forum I will be seeking your input on pedestrian and cycling infrastructure for these 3 bridges.

Thursday, November 1st at 7:00 p.m.
Dundas St. Public School
(935 Dundas St. East)
(Located Between Broadview and Boulton Ave)

I have invited Councillor Glen De Baeremaeker, Chair of the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee [and avid cyclist! -Joe] . Also on hand will be transportation staff to give presentations and answer your questions.

For further information call my office at 416-392-4060 or email: councillor_fletcher@toronto.ca

I look forward to seeing you there,
Paula Fletcher
City Councillor, Ward 30 Toronto-Danforth
